I've been taking a class on how to write a business plan the last few months, so I can try to seek out some capital for VL&L. Almost done, one more exam left. Then it's on to completing my plan. Should be done sometime in the spring. Wish me luck!
Obviously, since I haven't been posting, it's been a hectic last few weeks. Took some time off from work over the Thanksgiving holiday. Shopped just about all day Wednesday, put together my Christmas cards, prepared Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, shopped the morning of Black Friday, served Thanksgiving dinner Friday afternoon and have been decorating ever since. I'll add some pictures to this post in the next few days. I've been mad at my camera of late as it keeps giving me blurry pictures. Very frustrating.
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. On to Christmas!
Been in touch with Catherine at Shabby Lane Shops in the hopes I can rebrand a little and get a new logo, website design, etc. in place soon. Check out her site. Lots of great shops!!! Hopefully, mine to be one soon, too!
Got back on Sept. 12 from a week long trip to visit with my mom. Didn't do much other than visit. Took a day trip to Nantasket beach in Hull, MA. What a driving nightmare that was! Went out for dinner a couple of times and spent time with other family members and some of my mom's neighbors
Not the most becoming picture of my mom! We went to Jake and Joe's with my cousin, Barbara.
Sara enjoyed her stay at the Red Woof! Inn.
My dad used to work near this viaduct that carries a train track overhead. We saw a crane through the opening.
I always feel so bad when I go back to visit about the family headstone. Nobody left to take care of it. My mom isn't physically able to and it's located in a cemetery that is just beautiful. The people of this town really take care of their deceased. So I got some flowers to put by ours. Am thinking of hiring a gardener just to care for it when I can't get back there. The container has things in it that should last through the winter and maybe come back next spring.
Thank you for visiting my blog! And welcome to Vintage Lace and Lavender. This is my small business in constant progress. This blog is my place to share when new products are added to my website, my garden, tablescapes, etc. I am accumulating a wealth of information on all things tea related so that you might have one spot to come for all of your tea questions. Hopefully, you'll find the answers at my website where I offer, as I get new product in, tea related accoutrements, china, linens and all the fun stuff you'd like to have at your tea party, as well as some other gifty items you might like to bestow on your friends and loved ones. I hope you enjoy yourself here!
